Till February 28: From Earth to Earth – Devotion and Terracotta Offerings in Tamil Nadu Photo Exhibition on Ayyanar Cult in Tamil Nadu by Julie Wayne.
Julie Wayne is a photographer from France who has spent over a decade researching and photographing the ritual practices of the ancient cult of Ayyanar in Tamil Nadu. Her exhibition including over 100 photographs (at DakshinaChitra).
Till February 28: Mother Nature – Luminous Smiles: Water colours by Ashesh Joshi, Auroville, who is a self-taught artist. His love for the harmonies of Nature often finds its way into his brush paintings.
Till February 30: Tree of Life, mixed media works featuring Gaurang Shah (textiles), Portaarasan (ceramics) and Bharathi Raviprakash (wearable art). This multi-disciplinary exhibition explores nature in the timeless theme of the tree of life (at Apparao Galleries).
Till March 24: Akshar, an exhibition of lyrical calligraphic paintings in large formats by Rajeev Kumar (at Apparao Galleries @ The Leela Palace).
Till March 28: Stories of Architecture, an exhibition of paintings inspired by architecture, featuring Dhanush Kodi, Ritendra Roy, Anjali Reddy, Chelapathi Rao and Lalit Sharma. This collection has been edited giving the curation a direction of ‘The Structure’ as the primary focus (at Sandy’s Cenotaph Road).
Till February 27: Mirth & Colour by Sophie Jo, Shipra Bhattacharya, Shruti Nelson and Agathe Patil. This exhibition explores the idea of joy (at Apparao Infinity).
