Till March 31: Chennaivasi, an exhibition of paintings by S. Kumar. The artist has captured the essence of the look of temple-goers from in and around the temple in a series of human vignettes (at Apparao Infinity).
Till April 10: Distant Views-Vibrant Hues by Madhukar Maithani. Landscapes in vivid jewel-like colours in semi abstract forms on large dramatic canvases (at Apparao Galleries).
Till April 30: Stories of Architecture, an exhibition of paintings inspired by architecture featuring Dhanushkodi, Ritendra Roy, Anjali Reddy, Chelapathi Rao and Lalit Sharma. This collection has been edited giving the curation a direction of ‘The Structure’ as the primary focus (at Sandy’s, Cenotaph Road & Sandy’s, Nungambakkam).
March 24-April 25: Colour-Space-Action, an exhibition of paintings by John Tun Sein (at Apparao Galleries, The Leela Palace).
March 30: The Chidambaram Temple – History, Art & Architecture Part I by Dr. Chithra Madhavan (at The Leela Palace, 6.30 p.m.).
