Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) is organising an all-India essay and painting competition My City My Heritage for school students of Classes 6-9 across the country.
INTACH Chennai Chapter invites school-children in Chennai to participate in the contest at Measi Academy of Architecture. Theme: An interesting aspect of heritage of our city.
Schedule: 8:30 a.m. Registration;
9.00-9.30 a.m. Introduction to INTACH;
9.30-10.30 a.m. Part I: Essay writing up to 750 words in a language of your choice including English, Hindi or a major regional language at the venue;
10.45-12.15 p.m. Part II: Painting/Illustration at the venue. Students from classes 6-9 only (about 10-15 from each school). One or two accompanying teachers from each school.
Paper for writing and drawing will be provided by INTACH. Certificates to all participants. 100 regional winners and 10 national winners will be selected. The 10 national winners will go on a trip to Delhi to visit its biodiversity parks, cultural landscapes and interact with experts.
